There are two definitions of Miniled, narrow sense: LED chip size 50-100um; broad sense: LED lamp bead pixel pitch is less than P1.0. Strictly speaking, Mini LED, its packaged single chip size is between 50~100um (MiniLED chip), this kind of chip can only be realized by using flip chip technology. Therefore, Mini LED is technically easier to implement than Micro LED (chip size <50um).
With the development of the small-pitch industry, in order to facilitate product differentiation, domestic display manufacturers call displays with LED lamp bead spacing below 1.0mm, also called Mini LEDs. This type of product can be achieved using traditional surface mount packaging, N-in-1 packaging, and COB packaging with a chip, instead of using MiniLED chips.
