The use of light in buildings can be divided into two types: natural light and artificial light. Natural light mainly refers to the direct sunlight or the reflection, refraction, and diffusion of sunlight. Ancient buildings were illuminated by daylight and firelight, and firelight can be said to be the most primitive artificial light. With the development of the times, since the American Edison invented the electric light, artificial light sources have gradually replaced natural light sources and have become more advanced. However, the natural sunlight changes greatly, strong and vibrant, which is also an effect that artificial light sources cannot bring. For the interior design of the building, the use of light was originally just for lighting. Illumination is the most basic function, because the shape, size, contour, detail, texture, color, relationship and position of visual objects are all due to light that allows us to observe carefully, and light helps us to observe and understand space.
