The study found that by installing indoor LED lamps that can adjust the color and light intensity during the day and night, the sleep disorders of the elderly can be improved without the need for prescription sleeping pills. Under static lighting conditions, the elderly experience 3.6 night sleep disturbances on average, while only 1.8 times under tunable lighting conditions, which can reduce the sleep disturbances of the elderly who require long-term care by half.
